7/8th Grade
Sightreading
Will learn the first five notes of the Sol Feg scale and add more if possible. Work in groups to be secure with this scale
Start rhythm work. Review quarter/half/whole/eighth. Make flashcards and drill. Play games to reinforce
Broadway Beat
Talk about Hairspray – show excerpt from Hairspray – You Cant Stop the Beat – begin learning song
Give My regards with Your’re a Grand Old Flag. Learn about composer George Cohan
