August 30 – September 3

VARSITY/JV CHOIR

Important dates to have on your calendar. September 17 – all  high school choir students will be singing at Homecoming!(This is not optional, so please put this on your calendar!)

All Region auditions will be October 9 in Sulphur Springs.  Please plan on attending.

We will have at least one more opportunity to attend a workshop to prepare for All-Region.  I will get you the date as soon as possible.

Remember your assignment each week is to have an additional 30 minutes of practice outside of class.  Some options are before school, 2nd enrichment/lunch 12:32 -1:00, or at home.  This is a grade and more importantly will make a big impact on you mastering this difficult music.

WELCOME BACK! HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR

Welcome back to choir!  I am so excited to see you again and to welcome new choir students!

Varsity Choir:  We will begin All Region Music immediately.  I want you all to try out this year.  I think you will really like the selections!  Please prepare to go to a workshop SaturdayAugust 21 from 9 to 3:30 at LeTourneau University.  The cost is $20 per student and it will help you so much.  I will go with you so we can learn together!  This will probably be the most helpful thing you do in your preparation toward all-state try-outs!!

Varsity Choir will also be featured at Homecoming  This is September 17 I think.  Please put that date on your calendar as we will be singing The National Anthem at the Homecoming game!

Junior Varsity:  You will learn the All Region Music also.  If you make all-region choir, you will be advanced to the Varsity Choir! If this is something you would like to do, please plan on coming to LeTourneau with us so you can prepare.

Varsity and Junior Varsity are all required to have a black binder with three rings and a pencil bag with a highlighter and 2 pencils.  This will be your first grade in choir is due August 20.

We will be electing officers and appointing section leaders also this first week as well as getting to know each other.  Its going to be a great year!!!!
