Wow! Thanksgiving is almost here. I am so thankful for each White Oak student. Thank you for sharing them with me!

VARSITY/JV CHOIR
The Varsity Choir did such an amazing job at the Veterans Day program. I cant tell you how many positive comments I have seen and heard regarding their singing. I am so proud of them. Way to go!!
This week we are working diligently on our Christmas Concert and reviewing/polishing a couple of our all region pieces to share at the Christmas Concert
If your student is advancing to pre-area, please make sure they are spending time working on this music outside of class. Their goal should be at least 10-15 minutes per day! Sight reading will be part of this audition
Private lessons are also available during class times. These are $25 per lesson and can be private or semi-private(divide the charge between two students). I strongly encourage this extra preparation. Mrs. Watson, the instructor, has a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance. Please text me @9037382680 to set up times for lessons.
Middle School
7/8th
We will be singing at the Thanksgiving Senior Citizen Luncheon. I have spoken with Administration and they have graciously agreed to let all the students grandparents come for lunch even if they are not White Oak residents. Please just make sure at contact Julie Bodovsky at 9032912201 by November 14, or email [email protected]. Parents you are welcome to stand in the back and watch your amazing children too.

Students will wear choir t-shirts and denim. Many will have some extra props/costuming to add so please remind them

6th Grade
We are working on North Pole Musical. Some students will be bringing home lines/solos to work on. We have reindeer, snowman, elves, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Please ask your child if they are a reindeer, Santa, snowman, toy, elf, or speaker. You don’t need to spend lots of money, but it would be cute if we can have a little costuming. I am thinking Dollar Tree antlers/ stocking caps, etc. If you would want to be in charge of costuming your child’s little group, I would so appreciate that. Please text me at 903 738-2680.
