Grade 6

6th Graders are doing so well.  They know all the way from low “do” to high “do”. We are  working on rhythms of whole note, half- note, eighth notes, and introduce rests.

We will complete Bach and introduce Handel.   Songs this week will be Don’t Wait/What’s the Hurry.  We will also be following a listening map of the Hallelujah Chorus

Roughneck Choir

All grades:  supplies are due this week!  Binders/pencil pouch/2 pencils and a highlighter

Varsity Members have a choir handbook filled with tons of info, dates, and policies.  This must be signed by student and parent and returned by due date.

6th Grade – will be loaned classroom supplies

Students will listen to Round One All Region Songs.  They will highlight their parts so they can begin learning them

Officers will be announced.

The Lord Bless You and Keep You will be reviewed for past members and introduced to new members.

We will talk about songs for Senior Citizen Luncheon as well

Section Leaders will be chosen and sections will begin to work individually on their parts.

7th/8th Grade

Getting to Know You

The first couple of days of class we will warm up, learn about the lip trill and get to know each other.

We will go over supplies needed and procedures and expectations in the classroom

 

Varsity Choir Students will have a handbook to read.  Parents should also read.  Both should return the signature page
